Meet the Instructor

Tina has been studying yoga and Buddhist mindfulness meditation for over 30 years. Her classes emphasize realization of yoga’s potential for unlocking each student’s physical, mental, and spiritual capacities.

After intensive study of various Hatha styles including Integral, Vinyasa Flow, Iyengar, Restorative and Ashtanga, Tina was certified as a yoga instructor in 1998 by eminent yogi Ana Forrest of the Forrest Yoga Circle. She has been teaching ever since. In 2003, she founded Yoga Jones in Ventura, California, the first studio in the area to offer a variety of yoga styles. She owned and operated the studio until 2016.

Tina has a Therapeutic Yoga certification from Cheri Clampett and Arturo Peal, and in 2022 received certification to teach Kaiut Yoga from Francisco Kaiut. Her classes focus on both the physical and energy bodies and are laced with humor and insight. She welcomes students of all ages and levels and with all physical conditions.

Influenced heavily by the beauty surrounding her home in the Ojai Valley and a self-admitted culture vulture, she loves music, film and art and believes that spirituality is a living, breathing process.
